Shardeum

Shardeum is a blockchain-based project designed to create a secure platform for enterprise data management. The network is built on a set of blockchain nodes that work together to store, validate, and protect data. The project operates using its native token, SHARD, which plays a critical role in facilitating the network’s operations.

Utility of SHARD

SHARD is a utility token used as a medium of exchange for services within the Shardeum ecosystem. The network offers a marketplace where users can purchase services such as data storage, analysis, validation, and verification, all using SHARD tokens. Additionally, users can stake their SHARD tokens to host nodes, validate blocks, and earn rewards for their participation in the network.

This stage introduces two types of tasks: On-chain tasks and Validator tasks — which are similar to those in Stage 2.
